KENT A. PEASE, P.E.

Senior Engineer

Summary of Experience

Mr. Pease has 22 years progressive experience in geotechnical engineering with specialized experience rock engineering, engineering for projects in alpine environments, and tunnels and underground excavations.  A large portion of this experience is for highway and transportation projects.  He has been involved in all phases of these projects from feasibility and EIS through design and construction.  In the area of rock engineering, Mr. Pease has extensive experience with design, construction, and performance of rock cuts and rock excavations including evaluation of stability, rockfall, and constructability.  In the area of retaining walls, Mr. Pease has extensive experience with ground nail walls, mechanical stabilized earth walls, and reinforced slopes in addition to the more common rigid type of walls.  In the area of soil slopes, Mr. Pease has extensive experience with stabilization of landslides, soil cuts into steep natural hillsides, constructed embankments, and dams.  Mr. Pease has also worked on numerous highway projects including many in mountainous terrain including Wolf Creek Pass, Highway 285, and Interstate 70.  He is active in the geotechnical profession with 20 articles, papers, and lectures for major publications, seminars, and conferences.
