HOOVER DAM PARKING STRUCTURE

Lyman Henn supplied litigation support and expert witness services to PCL Construction Services for the geotechnical aspects of a lawsuit between PCL and the Department of Interior Bureau of Reclamation. The Parking Structure is part of the $33.9M visitor center and parking structure contract.

Lyman Henn reviewed the subsurface explorations conducted during design, how the geotechnical information was presented to bidders, and the affects the actual insitu subsurface conditions had on construction.

HERITAGE VILLAGE

Golden, Colorado

Provided an expert geotechnical forensic evaluation of pavement, areas, decks, interior slabs and flatwork that had allegedly experienced distress due to steeply dipping claystone bedrock in Jefferson County, Colorado.  Provided an affidavit of findings in conjunction with a lawsuit filed in the matter.

WESTMINSTER WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT EXCAVATION

Westminster, Colorado

Provided forensic geotechnical engineering services during litigation of construction disputes arising from construction of a large wastewater treatment plant in Westminster, Colorado.  Excavations for the plant of up to 30-ft-deep were alleged to have damaged adjacent buildings and facilities due to earth movement.  Forensic geotechnical engineering analysis of the sequence and timing of the excavation as compared with observed movements at adjacent buildings and driveways were performed.

Lyman Henn provided expert litigation support services and forensic geotechnical engineering services in relation to the above matter.  Expert testimony was provided in Jefferson County Court.
